The typical weekly schedule includes learning opportunities such as literacy and reading, budgeting, first aid, cooking, and computer skills; a variety of exercise and leisure options such as Zumba, Drums Alive, walking, hiking, swimming, art, community access, outdoor games, and visiting museums and art galleries; as well as volunteer opportunities.
Individuals are also involved in several volunteer opportunities including delivering Meals on Wheels to senior citizens, assisting at the Patten Free Library, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, and helping care for the animals at the local Humane Society. These activities provide an opportunity for people to give back to the communities that have been so generous to them in so many ways.
